In the address book you go!

You know you’re a library-obsessive when you find yourself wishing again and again that you had the local branch’s hours listed in your address book.  Today, I loaded three nearby libraries into my Palm Pilot.  It’s a serious MUST HAVE BOOKS move, I know, but I think I’m ready for it.  I’m new to neighborhood and haven’t yet had a chance to tour the nearby JP Branch, Connolly Branch, and Roslindale.   Also, in doing so, I discovered a cool feature on the BPL’s new website: a listing of what each branch specializes in.  Check it out (no pun intended, seriously).

The JP branch is nice but crowded! It has just a smidge of everything. I spend my Tuesday’s there while waiting for my son to have his woodworking class (at the Eliot School near by, not at the library!). It always seems filled with people but I usually can snag a spot in the back.
    Thanks for the tours!

Not only do I have the NYPL library map as a favorite on my Blackberry, but I have an actual paper print-out in my calendar in case I lose service or power. I feel your obsession!!
